Garlic of Voghiera, cultivated in an area of around 100 hectares in the province of Ferrara, was awarded the status of Protected Designation of Origin in 2007
by the European Community.

The ideal fertile, clay and clay loam rich ground, along with the excellent workmanship – using traditional methods, and done completely by hand - guarantee the sublime quality
of the product.

Garlic of Voghiera P.D.O is unique and inimitable, with its smooth, speckled, compact luminous white bulb. It’s unmistakable scent, its sweet and gentle flavour, and its excellent conservability render it a true delicacy suitable for use in cuisines from around the world.

AGLIO DEL NONNO: quality on the self and on the table

The garlic cultivated, produced and packed by the Cooperative is merchandised under the brand “Aglio del Nonno”.  It is available in various formats, from sacks of between 1 – 5kg, to plaits, or nets containing 3-4 heads of garlic.

Garlic of Voghiera P.D.O is a wholesome ally to the human body - valued for its antiseptic, cleansing and antioxidant qualities. 
In the kitchen it makes a welcome addition to both traditional and innovative dishes.
